Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

I don't understand why nothings being announced about stopping these fires from recurring. Surely "the worst thing to happen to France since WW2" warrants a ban on anything new heating the planet or using water and everything being done to reverse what exists? It'll just happen again otherwise.

Just loving how John Cleese, now reduced to one of his own caricatures, rages about immigrants coming to the UK and failing to accept "our" culture, from his home in ... (checks notes) ... Nevis in the Caribbean.

Holiday in the climate emergency. No that’s not AI or edited, just a snapshot I just took with my phone on Lacanau beach in France. What future will this boy grow up in? It is in our hands, but time is running out.

If you opt to keep Shabana Mahmood in her role as Home Secretary you are telling everybody on the left that you are not interested in actually learning from what Starner did wrong and quite like a lot of it.

GREG DAVIES: seems like a kind of a shit task. Everyone just seems like they're going home normally. ALEX HORNE: well before you say that let's have a look at how Odysseus did. cut to panel of AJAX, MENELAUS, AGAMEMNON, and DIOMEDES who are all staring at ODYSSEUS with his head in his hands

Hard to think of a more deeply damaging start to Burnham’s premiership than giving green light to new oil & gas in N. Sea, if true. It won’t lower bills or lead to greater energy security but will drive an even hotter planet. What a terrible signal to give to rest of the world #ClimateVandalism

Andy Burnham will announce plans for new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea when he becomes prime minister on Monday, the BBC has been told. The announcement will form part of a flurry of policy m...

The average hottest day of the year has warmed by over 4.5°C from Kent to Lincolnshire in the most recent (2016-2025) decade vs the 1961-1990 average. That’s a pretty significant jump upwards.
