A good reminder of the fact that DDHQ has moved significantly in the direction of being a clown organization in recent years
This was apparently moved based on a single co/efficient poll lol

Build more housing. Open the tent. Win more elections. The Center Will Hold

I try to be fairly open-minded but if you sincerely believe that a person who has chosen to spend months of 18-hour days running for electoral office doesn’t care if they win that office: you’re just dumb. Your brain don’t work. Your thoughts are bad.
The idea that people who have chosen to devote their entire lives to partisan electoral politics are indifferent to electoral outcomes is just facially insane
She sucks. Would like to read/know more about this. The rap is that she was apparently in on the plan before double crossing everybody. Either way, she’s endorsing a Republican Senate by doing this. She can eat shit forever.
Montana Dem. Senate nominee Alani Bankhead defends staying in the race in a new op-ed, arguing Democrats should rebuild their brand rather than back independents and accusing party leaders of overriding 49k primary voters. VoteHub now rates the race Solid R.
This is a ‘good strategy’ in game theory terms if you assume Trump will punish you for not rolling over and showing deference and democrats won’t. Democrats should think about altering those incentives.
25 days until the midterms:
Yes because normally what they would be saying is “we have enough money, don’t donate” so Dems must be in trouble! Great scoop lol
The DCCC is telling donors Democrats are getting badly outspent by the GOP on House races, and pleading for $17 million to avoid "leaving winnable races on the table." It identifies several. Full memo provided to NBC. www.nbcnews.com/politics/tru...
What the fuck man did Marshall also push over someone’s grandma to take the last Marble Rye
Almost nobody watched The Critic but everyone who did is an elder Millennial who posts on Bluesky
Remember everyone, only the data that confirms your doomer priors is real and your anxieties would never lie to you
Taking some polls from last couple of days at face value: -NY has (in relative margin) shifted 12% right in two years, it's a swing state now -Kansas is bluer than Michigan -Mary Peltola is an underperformer
She’s trying so hard to make it seem like he’s far more popular than what actual polls show
It is really remarkable that in a time of historic impasse in Congress, with both houses have been reduced to complete standstills despite a mounting number of political, economic, and ethical crises, both parties have spent months working to pass a bill limiting the pay of college athletes
I thought at most it be the diesel export ban idk why people thought it be nuke time or something
it’s so funny that people were like “OMG a 2PM Oval Office announcement, is Trump going to end the war in Iran or invade Cuba?!?!” and it turns out, no, he’s just going to rant about how good the economy is + how elections are rigged and then fall asleep
Giving a small, well-organized minority of people a heckler's veto over new housing that follows democratically-enacted zoning laws is not "democracy."
It is legitimately insulting that we live in a time where democracy ACTUALLY IS under attack, but a bunch of neighborhood busybodies who hate housing think not having enough meetings is an assault on democracy. Get a grip missionlocal.org/2026/09/rich...
it’s so cool that Crockett isn’t campaigning for Talarico because she is “focused on downballot candidates” and then refused to do anything for downballot candidates and instead gave an award to Chris brown
5 points away from being the Democratic Senate nominee in TEXAS, btw
If Republicans want to feel better about the electoral environment, all they have to do is come hang out and bluesky and theyll be treated to loads of doomers who are convinced theyre actually about to do great in five weeks

Dante Moore hit was brutal. Football had mostly phased that type of guy out and not only does that protect the players but it makes the sport more fun to watch. I did not need them to come back.
Big Ten might want to look at that Desman Stephens II hit on Dante Moore because that wasn't even close to a football play
The targeting penalty by USC was one of the dirtiest hits I’ve seen in a long time and the fact that he was talking shit AFTER he almost killed Dante Moore and who was clearly seriously hurt, he should be suspended for multiple games
Speaking as a professor of public policy who studies housing policy: Trump take house.
30-year fixed mortgage rate jumps sharply Thursday to 7.45%
if like me you think this is a major driver of economic dissatisfaction, this is probably good news electorally

The Mass. Lesbian Bar story being as big as it is strikes me as a symptom of the median American conflating COVID and "woke", for whatever that's worth
My theory on this is that most people aren’t mad at “woke” or whatever, they just experienced an upheaval of society through COVID and its aftermath and can’t actually put their finger on what’s bothering them. Woke is just a scapegoat for “I want things back the way they were”.
Under the current structure of the US Senate and the two-party system, I fear impeachment has long since ceased to be a real thing. Maybe the current two party system collapses and a window opens. I wouldn’t hold my breath though. None of this is a good thing, it’s just a thing that is.
You have to impeach him though. It's not optional. You impeach him or impeachment ceases to be a real thing.
I was 100% prepared for Los Angeles to again shit the bed on a housing-related matter. But maybe not this time?
Big news! In the latest Berkeley/LA Times poll, we’ve surged ahead of Mayor Bass with an 11 point lead. This poll reflects the momentum we’re seeing on the ground. Angelenos are ready for change and want to see a City That Works.
Trump should do another convention
The @gelliottmorris.com tracker is showing Trump at -28% approval rating. Only 1 in 3 Americans think he is doing a good job. 🫣 These are George Bush at the end of his term numbers.💀 I didn't think we'd get here without a full recession... but here we are. link: fiftyplusone.news/polls/approv...
Folks, you’ve gotta get comfortable saying “your behavior is fucked up, and justifying it using the language of social justice and therapy doesn’t change that.”
Help I have lost my political sway because my former cocaine dealer dropped out of a political race just for being a rapist and now the new guy won't listen to my friends or I! Mods! Mods!!
I’m gonna say it: the NY Mag story on Troy Jackson is some stupid shit and perfect example of what frustrates me most about political media. Jackson is on a path to win and has had zero notable scandals some staffers are whining about how the candidate isn’t paying attention to them; who cares?
Not a knock on Mamdani because I don’t have strong feelings about anyone meeting with Trump really, it’s sort of whatever, but it does how much of this is just dumb high school clique shit that people who would be shrieking about SELL OUT DEMOCRATS are silent on this.
Mamdani: "We also know the president not just as the leader of the country, but also as someone who has built quite a lot of housing in our city."
