This leads to a credibility gap: to put it crudely, why should anyone trust AI safety analysis when y'all are partying with SPECTER and cashing checks from Blofeld? Why should anyone take analysis of lone wolf/PLA misuse of open-weight models seriously when there's no similar analysis of XAI?
The most encouraging signal I've seen from the White House lately is that Trump appears to be responding to runaway energy inflation and catastrophic polling by selectively naming things after himself. I will gladly suffer the existence of Trumpsylvania for super majorities in both chambers.

i've been waiting for someone to come up with a good explanation of LLMs for laypeople and this is more or less correct. right now we're mostly getting our answers from virtuous pagans but we're working (via RL) on ways to drill to the bottom of Hell and get answers from Satan himself.

"Hallucinations" are the demons trying to trick you. However, we have reduced these as the AIs grow more resistant to their wiles.
