what the hell are “livability calls” and why do we need to create an additional category for these if they aren’t committing a crime and aren’t going through a crisis that would require BCR response? feels like a new and codified way to harass people existing in public and we know it will be
if the BCR program was created in 2021 to move away from police responding to non emergency mental health crises, why would we select community bridges whose board has 4 cops, heaviest profession represented? 3 firefighters. 2 city staff / electeds 1 addiction specialist. 1 psychotherapist 4 COPS

School closures moving forward in this rushed way only furthers mistrust between the community and MPS. Recently, multiple instances of financial mismanagement have cost the district millions of dollars of aid that could've helped our students. 3/
The degree to which police departments have financial incentives to over-respond to situations where their presence is straight up not needed at ALL, because they can make a bunch of extra money for zero personal risk, is something that even the pro-cop brigade should be concerned about.

Almost as if the mayor and police leadership should be brought before cameras and asked directly about the 4 days in this report . And how they managed to use $20 million in overtime during Operation Metro Surge, when they sat on their asses and refused to respond to 911 calls.
