"The report found just 28% of respondents were aware that changes to the risk level Ottawa attributes to specific destinations in its travel alerts can change the validity of travel insurance, leading insurers to completely or partially deny claims. Some 56% of respondents were not aware"

Many Canadians don't know federal travel advisories can void their insurance: survey

BWM cars now showing owners and unskippable ad for the new Spider Man Film whenever they start the vehicle. This shit needs to become illegal, yesterday, else how long before you have to watch it *before* you can start the vehicle.

And AIPAC's specific move—of stating that criticism of their political spending is actually an attack on all American Jews—is extremely dangerous, because it explicitly aims to make American Jews as a whole responsible for whatever AIPAC does.

“Cameco, the Saskatoon-based uranium mining and nuclear fuel company, will mine uranium ore in Saskatchewan and convert it in Port Hope, Ont., before it is enriched in the United States.” What problem are the Carney and Ford governments trying to solve? Because it sure isn’t overreliance on the US.

Canada built its nuclear industry around Candu reactors supplied by a made-in-Canada supply chain. Ontario is building, and other provinces are considering, SMRs that require foreign uranium enrichmen...

Crazy thing is here in the UK the government will subsidise installing a heat pump but ONLY if it doesn't do cooling. The idea was to get people off gas heating. So almost everyone will have installed non cooling pumps because it works out cheaper!

I think people believe what they see in movies. Modern data centers bring the lowest number of employees to an area of any kind of business

Bild

As I've said before: What high-paying long-term jobs do they pretend exist here? A data center isn't a place where execs come and do Big Deals. Go to the server room at your workplace; are there lots of rich people in there spending money?

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Using A.I. for a shitpost/meme completely misunderstands what makes them funny. High effort ones are funny because someone put a ton of time into something silly/stupid. Low effort ones are funny in large part BECAUSE they're janky and handmade.

Oh, so those girls at the Seattle Storm game were being obnoxious the entire time trying to provoke people and filming the reactions for content. Of course.

A screenshot of a text post on a dark background. The text reads in full:
"I sat right in front of two of the women ‘supporting Sophie’ and a few rows behind all their daughters in the front row behind the basket. They all had anti-trans shirts on. Could hear them talking the whole game and they were desperate for a confrontation. Literally said at one point “oh I really hope someone says something to me” after she screamed as loud as she could every time Sophie touched the ball. At another point she said she’s never even been to a WNBA game.
They were arguing with security through the entire game and made sure to record themselves every time, not sure what they were arguing with them about. And at the end of the game one of the girls said something to a guy, he responded and the girl started running at him through the aisles. The older women finally got what they wanted and ran over screaming with their phones out already recording.
Also overheard them talking about how they strategically positioned themselves to get as much time on the Tv broadcast as possible and something about a podcast they are trying to drive people to."
