It is illegal to pretend to be a member of the armed forces or to wear military medals you were not awarded if done with the intent to deceive. This is considered a criminal offense under the Stolen Valor Act in the US.

If you show up to Bluesky without following anyone, you'll be treated to a series of posts about art, music, and dogs. If you show up to X without following anyone, you'll be bombarded with right-wing conspiracies and white supremacist slop. It's weird which one is seen as a "political bubble"
The notion that people in major metros like SF or NYC are living in “bubbles” was always ridiculous. I can hear 4-5 languages in a day. One neighbor wears a burka and another is Israeli. FFS the bubbles are small towns with 2 churches where everyone has the same white great great grandparents.
