This is such a lazy piece. It's like "this is a price control, and price controls always fail." First, it's not a price control. It's a government subsidy. Second, price controls don't "always" backfire. They prevent gouging in emergencies and help regulate monopolies.

Basically, comics are trying to climb the side of a pile of gravel that keeps slipping and crumbling and skidding under your feet, and I love it so much, and I could do it forever, and I know it will never love me back, and I am at peace with that. I keep mantises as pets. I don't need to be loved.
That comic you bought went through so many phases to happen. And there is a failure mode built into every single one of them. My only--to date--creator-owned comic collapsed when the publisher went under. We released the first half of our story, and the other half is just sort of...lost.

WOW!
I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

Heh. I do medieval living history & film/museum grade reenactment work. Had a guy doing WW1 French proudly use an original French issue water bottle with his Poilu kit on an air show ground display set once, and got himself a mint condition WW1 era case of dysentry cos he didn't clean the bottle..

I was not surprised by her first two complaints: general anger issues and having few outside hobbies. I WAS surprised at her mention of how many men apparently don’t wash their hair or butts.
I'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.
