ok I want everyone to embrace the moment and enjoy it, but I am seeing a few skeets talking about things which aren't gonna happen, like "unchaining the IRS." Trump runs the executive branch until 2029. we can constrain a lot of bad stuff with budget riders; we can't force him to audit Elon Musk.
Important to reach across the aisle to our fellow countrymen who may have voted differently, and say to them: Eat shit Fuck you

I will say if I was operating one of The Platforms, I would be absolutely shitting my pants right now because people who hate my fucking guts are about to take power and "I hate Mark Zuckerberg more than I love my children" is one of two bipartisan positions in the US right now.
As a sidenote, I am that ass that talks about political realities and smart moves and all that bs, and I will just say: When Democrats had their chance to bleed the Trump admin the first time, Schumer caved and gave them the votes. He can be rump majority leader, he needs to be out by 28.

celebration is one thing but relationships are what matters so I urge you to put the one upmanship aside after tonight and take a minute to reach out to your republican friends and family who are no doubt feeling dejected and let them know that this is the best they'll ever feel again
the funny thing about this is i am now all the more confident that vance is the 2028 republican nominee. no one else is going to want it.

Look, as a Democrat, I think right now the thing that we should do is reach out to Republicans who may be feeling dejected or abandoned, not necessarily to try and understand their position or why they voted for Trump, but to tell them SCOREBOARD

I’m hearing that late leaning voters are voting blue after hearing about the Democrat’s firm conviction to execute liberty biberty.
Just in case no one's said it yet: there's actually zero good reason to release election results in pieces like this and we'd all be much better off if we just dropped them once the counts were done like England does.
i sort of think of it like this: trump is a prion disease that’s infected the party for a solid decade and we are now starting to get to the part where the motor skills and cognition are very noticeably deteriorating

you can say whatever you want about the old guard of the party, but they're not ideologically moribund, and the younger up and coming members have had to form real, persuasive arguments and figure out how to gain leverage and influence, they can't just kiss trump's ring, they have to earn it
Become clear this cycle that ppl will alternate between not believing that environment matters & not believing that candidate quality matters, depending on whichever will allow them to discount Ds chances. MI/MN being wins makes sense bc of environment. TX/KS make sense bc of candidate quality.

there is a super obvious pattern around “older women volunteer more than anybody else,” which you’d of course be aware of if you volunteered or did community events.

There’s too much for him to fuck up for him to dedicate one whole trip just to fuck up Kansas. For all his griping about in person work he’s finding he can be much more productive at fucking up senate races if he can work remotely.

the amount of work that was done to basically torpedo the entire second year of a GOP trifecta from a minority position would have been a good indicator if people on here understood any of that
