If it weren’t for ̶t̶w̶i̶t̶t̶e̶r̶ bluesky I’d be saying all this out loud in an otherwise empty room. He/him.

"We have to find common ground!" These are people who are not only willing to let their kids die because of what a supplement grifter on Facebook says, they are willing to let YOUR kids die because of it. They need to be crushed as a political force, not compromised with.

Today on campus, BFA and MFA Comics students got together to break in our new homeroom with a giant scroll-sized riff on Wally Wood’s 22 Panels That Always Work. Next time you’re stuck on what to draw next, might we suggest Zoom In On A Face Punch (With Eyes Popping)?

The right-wing organizing around the Lindsay Clancy trial is growing and it’s frightening. A lot of people overlook these culture wars revolving around women’s issues, because, well, they’re women’s issues. But the right doesn’t. It’s how they regained such a massive cultural foothold.

I wonder what the very first lapdog was like, how early in the domestication process did it happen. Imagine someone sitting, being crushed under the happy weight of something that looks identical to a massive wolf. Neither thinking about what 40,000 years of this will do

Something I remember from a Chuck Jones or Looney Tunes book I read as a kid was his argument that your cartoons shouldn’t have perfectly symmetrical faces, and he does this by saying if you took a side of a human face and made it look perfectly symmetrical they criminally insane.

Lookin for a Brown & queer reimagining of a Greek myth? SUBMERGED is a contemporary reimagining of Orpheus and Eurydice set in the NYC subway on the eve of the biggest storm to hit the city. It is a story of siblings (not lovers), of love and resentment and abuse and regret.

I go through life like a talk show sidekick, chiming in occasionally when I think of a good line but otherwise hanging back. Unfortunately mainstream society does not consider this to be a valid model by which to live one’s life

I speak often about the moral weight of disgust. In this instance of censorship, the president of the university offers no rationale for his decision beyond his revulsion at the story in question. Adults who act this way cannot be permitted to participate in guiding society.

I am curious what the free speech purists who claim to be all about viewpoint diversity have to say about this one www.persuasion.community/p/i-taught-a...
