Author of THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS, "brilliant and alarming" (Booklist), "deeply researched...eye-opening, urgent" (Kirkus). Now on sale http://bit.ly/3AsDJUw
it's makes me think of the part in @jessiesinger.bsky.social's There Are No Accidents that highlights the differences in how safety is perceived by men and women, that women more accurately perceive their safety than men. And that becomes a problem when the systems are designed primarily by men.

This is only going to get worse in next couple of years as the oligarch administration gets rid of safety regulations. 'There Are No Accidents'. @jessiesinger.bsky.social
Ironically, some of the best data proving these connections came from the U.S., which has tracked injuries and other health issues by race for many years (Canada has less such data). The author @jessiesinger.bsky.social uses such numbers extensively in her book, There Are No Accidents.
Three years ago, three other reporters and I ID'd and called any school accused of having litter boxes for furries. We found one (1) in the entire country: Columbine's school district. Cat litter was for a "go bucket," in case kids were locked in during a shooting. www.nbcnews.com/tech/misinfo...
The "F.U.R.R.I.E.S ACT" bill from Stan Gerdes (R-Smithville) would prohibit "non-human behavior" in Texas schools, including but not limited to: -Litterboxes -Tails -"Leashes, collars, other accessories designed for pets" -"Barking, meowing, hissing, or other animal noises" -"licking oneself"
Next Friday in Bay Ridge! Don't let politicians hide from their constituents.
Please join me if you can this evening, at the Tesla Tigard store. The Oregon EV Association president has been dismissive of protests against Tesla, saying the organization welcomes "even those who approve of Nazi salutes." SUPPORTING EVs DOES NOT REQUIRE WELCOMING NAZIS! #TeslaTakedown
Join me at 6:30 pm this Thursday, to protest the Oregon EV Association's board meeting and marketing event at Tesla's Tigard store. Let's show the OEVA that Teslas are political now, whether they like it or not! #TeslaTakedown actionnetwork.org/events/oeva-...
