As a Detroit area kid who lives in L.A., Kirk Gibson (Tigers/Dodgers) has always a been a bit of a hero of mine. Just got off the phone with my Aunt (the best) who has Parkinson’s, which Mr. Gibson also has. She goes to his center, “He’s the nicest man, and a hero to anyone with Parkinson’s.”🥲

I keep seeing Covid numbers described as low or moderately low. The problem is the goal posts were moved so many times we no longer have any perspective on what low or high means. The numbers downplay the issue by nature. We don't calculate risk well. Covid is still disabling people.
